How it all started ...

In 1976, I swapped England for Philly, a city that spoke a different language – the language of the streets. I had no clue about Cheesesteaks, Eagles, or American football; I was a soccer guy. But Philly was a wild mix of cultures, and it didn’t take long for me to learn the ropes.

That summer, I worked bagging groceries and discovered the Cheesesteak at Mimmo’s, a nearby pizza joint. It was love at first bite. While others grabbed pizza, I devoured juicy cheesesteaks almost daily. Since then, I have had cheesesteaks in hundreds of places, and I’ve probably eaten more Cheesesteaks than anyone. My sons, Gavin & Aidan, share my obsession, and we’re always on the hunt for new spots. I even started www.cheesesteakdebate.com for fellow fans.

After working in family restaurants, I knew I had to share my Cheesesteak passion with the world. So, my wife and I moved to Naples, Florida, and launched Cheesesteaks.com. We’re kicking off with a food truck, bringing Philly’s flavor to Southwest Florida. Stay hungry, stay Philly!
